HAPPINESS

Come oh come to me so near, That there remains nothing to fear. Oh, Let the world be as it may be, But we have eachother to see. Promise that till the sun shines and the birds fly, We may together stay happy and never cry. For today and forever only one thing will live, The “Love” that we get and the “Love” that we give. The only true secret to “Happiness” ever found, Is only the “LOVE” spread in the world around.

One night at the call center. CHARACTERS IN A NUTSHELL

‘One night at the call center’ by Chetan Bhagat is a story about the lives of six people working in a call center searching for true happiness. Beginning with a messed-up love story of the narrator “Shyam”, to the separated family life of the retired military person, we can see different short stories of each individual fighting to get peace. In the midst of their complexities they work together at the “Connextions” call center under the Manager Subhash Bakshi who acts like a villain in the story. Towards the end of the book we can see how “God” comes to rescue each one of them which leads into a major transformation of everyone’s life. We also see the downfall of Mr. Bakshi, who is taught a lesson by his agents whom he considered ‘good for nothing’ and exploited them. First of all the author introduces us to Shaym(Shyam Mehra)– the narrator and the most important character of the book who is the hero of the book alongwith his close friend Vroom. For Shyam, Priyanka who was his girlf...

‘One night at the call center’- Chetan Bhagat A GIST

‘One night at the call center’- by Chetan Bhagat, has a weaker concept compared to his extraordinary writing shown in the author’s masterpiece- ‘Five point someone’. The book can be easily understood by an amateur reader because of the language used. But yet for those who aren’t much acquainted with the author’s previous works, may find him less interesting than some of the other Indian writers. To begin with, the book introduces us to an experience Chetan has while travelling in a train from Kanpur to Delhi, which made him write the book. He meets a girl who is ready to narrate about the lives of six people working in a call center on the condition that he would write a book based on it. At first he is reluctant, but the fact that the story is only about one night, makes him feel more eager to learn about it. So he agrees to the condition and introduces us to the narrator ‘Shyam Mehra’ who is one of the central characters in the story. The author chooses “Shyam ”as his mouthpiece beca...

(A BEAUTIFUL E-MAIL THAT TOUCHED MY HEART) MAY BE.........

Maybe. . we were supposed to meet the wrong people before meeting the right one so that, when we finally meet the right person, we will know how to be grateful for that gift. Maybe . . . it is true that we don't know what we have until we lose it, but it is also true that we don't know what we have been missing until it arrives. Maybe . . . the brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past; after all, you can't go on successfully in life until you let go of your past mistakes, failures and heartaches. Maybe . . you should hope for enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, and enough hope to make you happy. Maybe . . . the happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way. Maybe .. . . the best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the ...

THE TRUTH

A broken heart, a hidden desire, A situation we faced that made us a liar. A cheating we did, a prank we played, A promise that was broken before it was made. A secret we have, a habit we develop, An addiction for us that is difficult to give-up. People have become what they are not, Life has changed into a direction, one never thought. Amidst these confessions, a fact remains, That, “The Truth” of one’s life always prevails.

A WISH

The only wish that I would always make, Is to love you forever, and never want to hate. Although you are no longer with me, I wish for your happiness wherever you may be. The desire to be with you always gets stronger, Yet this waiting for you only gets longer. A ray of hope is there everyday, That we will be back together, forever, someday. The only thing I ask God to hear, Is this wish, to be with you my dear. This poem is dedicated to all my friends who are no longer with me..Love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant... Thankyou for being a part of my life, whether you were a reason, a season or a lifetime.

A song for a lifetime!!!!!! George Michael - Careless Whisper

I feel so unsure as I take your hand an d lead you to the dance floor. As the music dies something in your eyes Calls to mind a silver screen and you're it’s sad goodbye. I'm never gonna dance again guilty feet have got no rhythm though it's easy to pretend I know you're not a fool. I should have known better than to cheat a friend and waste a chance that I've been given. So I'm never gonna dance again the way I danced with you. Time can never mend the careless whispers of a good friend. To the heart and mind ignorance is kind. There's no comfort in the truth pain is all you'll find. I'm never gonna dance again guilty feet have got no rhythm. Though it's easy to pretend I know you're not a fool. I should have known better than to cheat a friend And waste a chance that I've been given. So I'm never gonna dance again the way I danced with you. Never without your love. Tonight the music seems so loud I wish that...

My *Pal(*FRIEND)

Whenever I see you smile, I feel I am happy, To have you in my life, I consider myself lucky. I look at you, and think how can it be? Can someone else in this place be so related to me? Our likes and dislikes are just so similar, Our personality traits too are very familiar. You are the one, who has taught me to TRUST again, And that, there is ‘TRUE HAPPINESS’ after a lot of ‘PAIN’. Just like a shadow I always wish to be with you, Because, “Friends like you are really very few”.

HUMANITY

Day by Day the World is getting ‘Robotic’, It’s only full of people who are ‘Chaotic’. People come into our life and keep going, There’s no real value for what one is doing. ‘Trust’ is no more, ‘Emotions’ are gone, ‘Mankind’ is separated, ‘Man’ stays alone. ‘GADGETS and WEAPONS’ are more precious today, For a safe and happy survival, we need them everyday. ‘Friendship’ and ‘Love’ have only got bookish, Every individual is becoming more selfish. They say, “God made us in his own image”, But today “humanity” is only full of 'DAMAGE'.

Chatting with God! (Translation of a Gujarati mail)

One day I was sitting and chatting online with my laptop. Suddenly God appeared online to me. God: ‘Do you want to chat with me?’ Me: ‘No. I haven’t called you. Who are you?’ God: ‘My child. I am the creator of mankind and the entire universe. I am God.’ Me: ‘How do I believe that you are God? There are many here who claim to be Gods.’ God: ‘To believe or not is a matter of your choice. It doesn’t make a difference to me. You don’t trust yourself, then how can you trust me.’ Me: ‘Ok, but I am not free right now. I don’t have time to talk with you right now. Do you know how busy I am?’ God: ‘Even the ants and worms are busy the entire day.’ Me: ‘You don’t know how much work we have. Life is moving at a faster pace. We are going through the ‘Peak hours ‘now.’ God: ‘Son! Every day you fill your brain with the rubbish that you read from the newspapers early in the morning. Isn’t that enough that you are adding more to it by using the internet during your ‘Peak hours’. Is that what you call...

The Farewell

The time has come for me to depart; From the family of which I was a part. Since childhood I have always dreamt of this day; When I would leave my loved ones and find a new way. A mixture of emotions rush through my heart; As I wait for a new life and a new beginning to start. The tradition of society is so difficult to follow; It gives one family joy, and fills the other with sorrow. As I enter an important phase of a new life; I am glad to transform from a ‘DAUGHTER’ into a ‘WIFE’.

FEAR

A fear to die, a fear to try; A fear of failure, which makes us cry. A fear to dream, a fear to hope; A fear that makes a situation, difficult to cope. A fear that stops us from speaking the truth; A fear that helps us in bearing the fruit. A fear within that shows the way; A fear to live, the fullest today. A fear that makes us aware of the things worthy; A fear is what makes us believe in the “Almighty”.

A POEM FROM PAULO COELHO'S BOOK "ELEVEN MINUTES"

A time to be born, and a time to die; A time to plant, and a time to pluck up that what is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; A time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; A time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to caste away stones, and a time to gather stones together; A time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; A time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; A time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; A time of war, and a time of peace.
